TNS464 13/08/2016 – Casio watch,

It’s a cold, grey, blustery day on the Bass Strait. A force 5 westerly is
beating on our starboard bow. But the ship’s company couldn’t be happier
because for the first time all voyage we’re sailing!

Yes, MV Tenacious is once again SV Tenacious. After motoring all the way
from Sydney, we’ve set five square sails and two staysails and we’re sailing
our way through a lovely Bass Strait squall.

It’s enough to help our friends, the Forward Starboard watch, forget their
painful loss in last night’s pub quiz while we were at anchor in Flinder’s
Bight.

Tomorrow we make land near Melbourne and drink like sailors. Because today,
at last, we’ve proven that’s what we are.
