Greetings from the sunny Canaries!

After the gathering of all the voyage crew in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria we were due to sail the following day but the engineers had some challenges with a poorly starboard generator which meant we could not sail as intended. Still, plenty to keep us busy with passports, evac training and mast climbing. And enjoying visiting the town and the odd run ashore.

After a valiant effort from Marco and the engineering team we finally put left Las Palmas on Day 4 and headed towards our first stop in Santa Cruz on the island of Teneriffe. The conditions were fair and we hoisted the upper and lower topsails to sail overnight. Arriving the following morning, we were given a slightly interesting berth in the harbour, some distance from the town. But we all pulled together and helped to get everyone ashore who wanted to go.

Departing Teneriffe the following morning at 9AM sharp, we are now motoring in the sunshine to our mooring for Christmas celebrations on the island of La Palma, where we will spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in the sunshine! We have been assured by Capt Darren that Santa does know we are coming!

Thinking of you all back in the UK!
