The JST fondly remembers Ian Shuttleworth, a Trustee 1986-2012, Vice Chairman 1997-2013 and Vice President 2013-2015 who sadly passed away on 23rd May 2015.
Ian embodied the values of the JST in every respect and will be sorely missed by us all. He was extremely proud of what the JST accomplished during his lifetime and typically modest about his own very considerable contribution to the JST’s success; he made a very significant fundraising and awareness building contribution over many years.
JST supporters may wish to know that Ian’s memorial service will take place on Friday September 25th at 1300, Trinity Church Cowes. If others wish to apply for tickets this can be done via Royal Yacht Squadron mail@rys.org.uk or they can contact them on 01983 292191. Guests will need to provide their full address so tickets can be sent in the post. Lord Nelson will also be on Trinity Landing, Cowes, that afternoon as a tribute to Ian’s work and supporters attending the memorial service will be welcome on board to raise a glass in his memory.
