Voyage TNS632 Greenock to Lerwick

22.07.2023

Arrived Loch Laxford mid-morning, then those who hadn’t had their assisted climbs were able to do so.

Smoko included lovely birthday cake for Steve’s Birthday.

After a lovely lunch on deck in the sunshine those who wished to went for a spin around the loch in the DOTI boats.

Several photos of Tenacious were taken from the boats.

We saw John Ridgeway’s house and his famous yacht named English Rose IV, also spotted 2 seals, a mumma and a pup. We also saw fish and mussel farms.

On our return the Engineers were setting up the music and the BBQ. Fabulous food with lots of fun and laughter topped off by an amazing sunset.

Day 7 started with the very bravest of our crew taking a plunge in the apparently 14 deg water!! (Penny, Abi, Chris A, Lois, Simon, Janis, Ilmari, Ruth P).

Thereafter at smoko yet another Happy Birthday cake for David.

We weighed anchor and headed north passing Cape Wrath, no longer protected by land on either side we were in open sea and the swell began to rise. 3 stay sails were unfurled which helped stabilise the ship for a while however had to furl them due change in wind direction.

Dinner was a delicious Moroccan Lamb and citrus salad, thank you Micah .
