Tenacious voyage 620 from Las Palmas to Antigua
New Year Greetings to all from Las Palmas where it is warm and sunny 😊
The voyage crew joined on Thursday and everyone is settling in very well.
We haven’t actually set off on our Atlantic crossing to Antigua as we have problems with the generator (not the same one as on the last voyage!). The engineers are here to fix it so hopefully we will be able to set sail tomorrow or Wednesday.
In the meantime, the crew is enjoying the warm weather, helping to get the ship ready and visiting Las Palmas.
A few bottles of champagne and wine were enjoyed on New Year’s Eve all in excellent spirits and a few hangovers were suffered on New Year’s Day!
So, all is well on the Good Ship Tenacious even if we are all a little impatient to start our voyage.

A public green space is pictured, featuring an ‘island’ of red flowers surrounding a palm tree. The photo was taken at night and the dark sky is lit with lights in the distance. A large ship’s propellor and shaft has been placed in the garden for interest.

Large black rocks are pictured in the sea, with some land in the background. Several birds are flying and the sea and sky are grey in colour.

A beach and shoreline at sunset are pictured. The sand glows orange and the dark water reflects the lights on the shorelin ein the distance. The sky is also a dark blue/grey colour, with the remains of the sunlight fading behond the dark land mass in the distance.
