Copenhagen is described as a maritime city jewel in the crown of the southern Baltic, and we recommend you go visit and find out why for yourselves! Join Tenacious having taken some time for yourselves to explore the colourful 17th-century streets (beware, there are a lot of cobbles!) and world-class cuisine the city is famous for.
You will sail out of this stunning harbour, past a famous statue guarding the entrance to the city, and out into the Baltic sea – some of the best sailing waters in Northern Europe.
Your voyage will finish at Klaipeda, the first of the host ports for the Tall Ships Races 2024, and certainly not one to miss! Klaipeda is the third-largest and oldest city in Lithuania. It’s situated on the Baltic Sea, is the country’s biggest port, and it’s one of the only ice-free ports in northern Europe. The port’s new passenger cruise terminal has helped bring increased traffic to the area and make the Lithuanian city a true tourist attraction.
You will be coming into Klaipeda several days before the voyage end date to take in the sights and sounds of the historic port filled with tall ships of all sizes: from the biggest Class A tall ships (barques, brigs and ship rigged) to the smallest Class Ds (sloops, ketches and schooners). You will be able to explore other tall ships and take advantage of the fantastic event programme laid on by the event organisers. You will also likely be asked to help out for a few hours one day whilst Tenacious hosts her own ‘open ship’. As the hardened seafarers who sailed her there, who better to tell people all about your experience and our wonderful tall ship!
Bursary Funding for members of the Armed Forces!
We still have some LIBOR funding that can only be used by people with a Service Number (whether serving or retired) which would reduce this voyage down to £106 per person per day, so a total of £1,166 for the 11 days. Amazing!! Make sure you put ‘LIBOR‘ in the ‘Promotion or Group Code‘ box at the very end of the booking form. We will ask you to confirm that you have a Service Number, and please bear in mind that bursary funds are allocated on a first come, first served basis – and will run out one day!
